Check out the kind words from Pattern Bank http://patternbank.com/dustyn-bork-bad-plaids-and-shards-of-delight/ Patternbank love Dustyn Bork’s vast selection of work. We have picked just a few of our favourites from a selection titled Bad Plaid and Shards. Dustyn chooses to respond to the pattern, colour and design that can be found all around us in his work. He uses a range of mixed media sometimes working on top of found photographs with great results. Check out more of his inspiring work at dustynbork.com. http://patternbank.com/dustyn-bork-bad-plaids-and-shards-of-delight/

PATTERN IN PERSPECTIVE Little Rock

Pattern in Perspective: Recent Work by Carly Dahl and Dustyn Bork Carly Dahl and Dustyn Bork are an artist couple who both work in painting, printmaking, and installation. Dahl focuses on ideas and ideals of beauty and representation in society by psychologically presenting the pressures and expectations faced by women; the faces are intentionally blank giving viewers the ability to relate to the figures and project others into them. Bork contrasts the intentional design of architecture, ornamentation, and pattern with the incidental structure of visual forms in various stages of decay in his colorful abstractions. SGC Conference-- NEW ORLEANS

Heading to New Orleans, next week with this print to exchange in the member print portfolio exchange.

The conference is the largest devoted entirely to printmaking in North America. March 14th-17th, with artist panels, speakers, exhibitions on print, and numerous technical demonstrations on the art and craft of printmaking.
This year's theme is "Navigating Currents" and my print is based on that theme. 11"x14" Edition of 15 on Serigraphy on Rives BFK
"Currents" it is loosely base on navigating oneself back on the progression of your artwork after a move. In my case, into the isolated region of the mid-south between the Delta Region and the Ozarks having relocated from suburbia just south of Detroit, Michigan. There are many challenges in sticking with the major themes in your work while still blending and acclimating to new surroundings and aesthetics and starting new artist networks.
